What You're Signing Up For

This Level 3 programme gives secondary school students practical experience in a hairdressing salon and beauty spa environment. You will develop skills in dressing long hair, applying shampoo and hair treatments, client consultation for make-up services, and basic knowledge of skin and nails. The course is delivered as part of the Waikato Trades Academy, counts towards NCEA, and is free to eligible secondary school students.

Must be enrolled at secondary school (as part of Waikato Trades Academy)

Maintain normal schoolwork alongside WTA programme
