What You're Signing Up For

This programme prepares students for the hairdressing industry by building core hairdressing and customer service skills. Students learn practical techniques in a commercial salon environment with real clients, supported by theory in key areas, enabling progression into apprenticeship, roles in salons, or other personal care employment. The course covers fundamental hairstyling, colouring, cutting, product knowledge, and professional standards, making it equivalent to the first year of an industry apprenticeship.

What you need to know first

Applicants must be at least 16 years old at course commencement.

Be able to read, write, and communicate in English at a basic level.

Be physically able to complete the programme-specific outcomes.

For non-native English speakers: IELTS score of 5.5 with no band lower than 5, or accepted international equivalence.
