What You're Signing Up For
This Level 4 certificate prepares students for a career in the beauty therapy industry by teaching a range of beauty treatments and client care. Students develop understanding of human anatomy and physiology, and practical skills in facial treatments, makeup, massage, waxing, tanning, and nails. Delivery includes hands-on experience in a commercial training salon and opportunities for industry visits and competitions.

What you need to know first
80 credits NCEA Level 1 or above, including 10 literacy credits and 10 numeracy credits at Level 1 or above
Alternative entry may be considered for applicants who can demonstrate suitable skills through study, work or life experience
Applicants must be at least 17 years of age at the time the programme commences
