What You're Signing Up For

This one-year, full-time course equips students with advanced hairdressing techniques, delivered through project-based learning in a real-world salon setting. Students build on foundational hairdressing knowledge to develop skills in advanced cutting, colouring, styling, consultation, and reception, preparing them to work as senior stylists or in related hairdressing roles. The qualification is suitable for those with prior Level 3 hairdressing qualifications and offers industry-relevant learning with opportunities for career progression in hairstyling and hair care.

What you need to know first

Successful completion of the NZ Certificate in Hairdressing (Level 3)

Applicants must be in good health (no medical, physical, or psychological conditions preventing work with vulnerable clients)

Meet EIT's English language requirements (IELTS 5.5 with no band lower than 5.0 or accepted equivalents for internationals)
