The NZ Certificate in Hairdressing (Level 3) provides students with knowledge, practical skills, and the right attitude to perform limited salon and client support services in the hairdressing industry. Through project-based and work-based learning, students gain practical experience in salon environments, develop creative hair design skills, and are equipped for entry-level roles or advanced study in hairdressing.

What you need to know first

No minimum academic requirements.

CV detailing relevant work experience and academic achievements.

Evidence of literacy and numeracy sufficient for study at this level.

Signed declaration of good health (no conditions precluding work with vulnerable clients).
