What You're Signing Up For
This diploma programme equips students to use construction and drawing knowledge to transform building designs into reality. Learners will produce technical drawings and documents to enable pricing, building consent, and construction for a range of building projects. The curriculum covers manual and computer-aided drafting (CAD), construction materials, environmental and feasibility analysis, and prepares students to work as architectural technicians on small to medium-scale projects, with the potential to progress to more complex work with experience.

What you need to know first
A minimum of 50 NCEA credits at Level 2 and a minimum of 12 credits in NCEA mathematics (or pāngarau) Level 1 and 12 literacy credits at NCEA Level 1
A relevant qualification at NZQF Level 4 or above
A recognised equivalent qualification
Special Admission: 20 years of age or older without stated entry qualifications
Discretionary Admission: Under 20, not meeting standard criteria, assessed on preparedness
IELTS (Academic) 6.0 with no band lower than 5.5 or equivalent required for international students
