What You're Signing Up For

The New Zealand Certificate in Sterilising Technology (Level 4) is for anyone currently working in the reprocessing of reusable medical devices in settings such as hospitals, dental clinics, or veterinary services. The fully online course includes a compulsory work placement, enabling students to put theory into practice. Graduates develop practical skills in sterilisation technology and can access further study at diploma level.

What you need to know first

NCEA Level 2 with passes in English/Te Reo Māori or equivalent

Completed New Zealand Certificate in Sterilising Technology (Level 3)

6 months of employment in a sterilisation services environment

Any Level 3 qualification (or higher) over 60 credits on the NZQA framework, or evidence capable of success at Level 4

Must have reliable internet access

Access to a workplace for a minimum of 64 supervised work experience hours with sterilisation facilities
