What You're Signing Up For
The New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Health Assistance) (Level 3) is designed for those wishing to work as, or upskill in, healthcare assistance. You will learn to provide person-centred health care under professional direction, explore impacts of health issues on individuals and communities, and learn best practices for supporting people with multiple conditions or disabilities. The course features blended delivery, with in-class and online learning combined, plus at least 100 hours of practical experience in a relevant organisation.

What you need to know first
Evidence of ability to complete academic requirements
Attendance at an information meeting
Diagnostic assessment for academic, health, and safety suitability (may be required)
English language proficiency: IELTS 5.0 (no band below 5) or NZ Certificate in English Language Level 3 or equivalent (for non-native speakers)
