Become eligible for registration as a physiotherapist
Graduates are eligible to apply for registration as a physiotherapist with the New Zealand Physiotherapy Board.

What You're Signing Up For
The Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours (BPhty(Hons)) at the University of Otago is an academically intensive, four-year degree. It features advanced coursework and research in physiotherapy. Students spend their first year in Health Sciences First Year before progressing, and entry to the honours year is competitive, based on academic achievement in third year. The programme develops competencies required for registration as a physiotherapist with the New Zealand Physiotherapy Board and prepares students for further postgraduate study, including direct entry into PhD programmes.

What you need to know first
Successful completion of Third Year of the Bachelor of Physiotherapy with a grade average of at least A-
Selection is competitive and limited to approximately ten students per year
Application must be made no later than 1 October in the Third Year
