What You're Signing Up For

The Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) at Otago is a comprehensive, four-year degree designed to prepare students for practice as pharmacists in New Zealand and other professional settings. The program integrates coursework in pharmaceutical sciences, clinical practice, and the legal/social aspects of healthcare. Students gain in-depth knowledge of medicines, their manufacture, distribution, and optimal patient use. Practical experiential learning is embedded throughout, including placements in various pharmacy environments. Upon graduation, students must complete a one-year pre-registration internship to be eligible for professional registration.
