What you need to know first

You must be a registered midwife and hold a bachelor's degree OR have relevant equivalent skills and knowledge acquired through appropriate work or professional experience.

International students will be individually assessed for readiness.

For New Zealand registered midwives with English as an additional language: IELTS Academic 7.5 (one test within last 2 years) or equivalent.

For international midwives not registered in New Zealand with English as an additional language: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall (min Speaking 7.0, Listening 7.0, no band <6.0) or equivalent.
