What You're Signing Up For

The NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 4) Advanced Care and Support is designed to strengthen care skills for experienced caregivers, enabling them to support people with complex needs while growing their leadership and mentoring capabilities. The course emphasizes person-centred care, cultural safety, advocacy, safe practice, and workplace leadership. Graduates will be prepared for senior care roles in hospitals, dementia units, hospices, and community care, and will be ready for further study including enrolled nursing.

What you need to know first

Hold the NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3), or an equivalent qualification

Currently employed in aged care as a caregiver or support worker

Meet all workplace vetting requirements

If English is not your first language: IELTS 5.5 Academic, with no band below 5, or equivalent

Significant relevant experience considered through general or special admission
