What You're Signing Up For
Start your journey in care with this NZQA-accredited Level 3 certificate. Over 19 weeks, you’ll gain practical skills, cultural awareness, and confidence to support individuals and whānau in a range of healthcare settings, including aged care, disability, and community health. The programme focuses on ethical, person-centred care, foundational health knowledge, understanding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, cultural safety, and practical skills for work-readiness. Graduates are equipped to step confidently into healthcare support roles and may advance to further related study.

What you need to know first
Hold a New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 2) or equivalent qualification, or significant experience/capability in a relevant role
Be at least 16 years of age prior to starting the course
Be employed in a health and wellbeing setting and have completed all vetting requirements for their employment
