The programme is suitable for those who have achieved a Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, aiming to enhance their skills or focus area across various support sectors.

  • Assessment and development of diversional therapy care plans
  • Implementation of diversional therapy plans for individuals and groups
  • Supporting people coping with grief and loss
  • Recognition of sector-specific needs (Aged Care, Home & Community Support, Mental Health & Addiction Support, Social Services)

What you need to know first

Completion of New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Social and Community) (Level 4) with strands in Community Facilitation, Community Health Work, Mental Health and Addiction, or Social Services (Careerforce apprenticeship), OR another NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 4) or above with Careerforce.

Enrolments accepted from those who completed an approved Level 4 (or higher) programme with another provider.

Current employment and employer support required.
