  • Universal Newborn Hearing Screening and Early Intervention Programme (UNHSEIP)

  • Carrying out newborn hearing screening for the UNHSEIP
  • Referral and habilitation processes within UNHSEIP
  • Recognising and responding to vulnerability and abuse
  • Demonstrating professional and ethical behaviour
  • Culturally safe principles for Māori, Pasifika, and other cultures
  • Community values and attitudes and their impact on people with disabilities

What you need to know first

Must be employed as a Newborn Hearing Screener by a District Health Board (Te Whatu Ora) or Ministry of Health
