Prepare for NZCAA AMEL License
Students will gain foundational and specialist knowledge to sit for NZ Civil Aviation Authority Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (AMEL) examinations.

Demonstrate advanced aircraft maintenance skills
Graduates will be able to maintain, service, overhaul and certify aircraft, their systems and components, as required to support aircraft operations.

Integrate theory and workplace experience
Students will relate theoretical knowledge to daily aviation maintenance work and build portfolios evidencing this.
What You're Signing Up For
This diploma program is designed for those already working in the aviation engineering industry who aim to gain a formal qualification and certification in aeronautical maintenance. Delivered online, it follows the NZCAA Part 66 syllabus and prepares you to sit NZCAA theory exams, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application and requiring a portfolio of workplace experience. Graduates will be eligible for a range of responsibilities in maintenance, servicing, overhaul, and certification of aircraft, and may progress to licensure as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer after completing relevant work experience.

What you need to know first
Completion of recognised aircraft maintenance engineering training at Level 4 or above, or an equivalent international qualification.
Relevant experience in the aeronautical engineering industry or allied trade (as per NZCAA Part 66-1).
Access to a workplace or evidence of workplace experience (in accordance with CAA AC66-1 subpart 66.53(a)(4)).
Living in New Zealand (required to sit online theory exams).
IELTS academic score of at least 6.0 overall (5.5 in each band) for non-native English speakers, issued within the last 2 years.
Sufficient computer literacy.
