This one-year diploma is tailored for individuals organised and numerically inclined who are looking to build a foundation in accounting. The programme delivers broad knowledge of business operations with special focus on accounting principles, accounting software, tax compliance, and financial analysis. Graduates are prepared for roles in accounting and business or for further study such as entry to year two of the Bachelor of Accounting.

What you need to know first

At least 16 years of age at programme commencement (or Early Release Exemption)

NCEA Level 2 with 8 literacy credits at Level 2 or above and 14 numeracy credits at Level 1 or above, or equivalent

Or completion of an approved Level 3 or above qualification

Applicants who do not meet these may apply for discretionary admission
