The Bachelor of Accounting at NMIT/Te Pūkenga develops students for professional roles in accountancy through active, applied learning in small classes. Students master core topics including accounting systems, taxation, finance, business law, audit, management accounting, and financial reporting. The programme also covers key business skills and offers an elective for concentration on another business area. In the final year, you'll undertake a professional project with practical experience in a business setting. The programme is accredited by CAANZ and CPA, meets their academic requirements, and prepares students for global career opportunities.

What you need to know first
University Entrance (NCEA Level 3): Three subjects at level 3 (14 credits each in approved subjects)
10 literacy credits at Level 2 or above (5 reading, 5 writing)
10 numeracy credits at Level 1 or above
Equivalent other secondary qualification OR approved Level 4+ tertiary qualification in a relevant pathway
Special admission (20+ years old, criteria at discretion of Academic Authority)
