What You're Signing Up For
This course is designed for secondary school learners (years 11 to 13) interested in a career in early childhood education and care. It introduces learners to the importance of holistic health and well-being for developing babies during pregnancy and after birth. The course includes a mixture of practical and theory-based classes and aims to provide basic understanding without requiring prior knowledge. It offers 5 credits at NZQA Level 2 and is delivered one day per week over five weeks. Successful completion prepares learners for further tertiary study and early childhood education career pathways.
