What You're Signing Up For
This course is designed to introduce individuals to the fitness and sports industry through a series of selected unit standards. Delivery is via distance learning and is only available to NZ secondary schools under the STAR scheme. Students gain knowledge in human anatomy and movement, nutrition, and the benefits of participating in recreation within the community.
Course Content
- US6571: Demonstrate knowledge of micro and macro nutrients and nutritional imbalances (Level 3, 5 Credits)
- US27299: Describe benefits of participation in recreation in the local community (Level 2, 2 Credits)
- US30636: Demonstrate knowledge of the human body and its movement during exercise and stretching (Level 3, 7 Credits)
