This course offers insights into the processes involved in the development and implementation of policy and professional services across the recreation, sport, tourism and social sectors. You’ll learn about key concepts for policy-makers, characteristics of professionalism, and how policy is developed and implemented at different levels. The course also covers government and local authority decision-making processes and how policy outcomes are influenced, as well as methods for assessing the impacts of policy decisions.

- Professionalism and best practice in relevant sectors
- Processes of policy development and implementation (local, regional, national)
- Government and local authority decision-making processes
- Impact assessment of policy decisions using relevant tools and techniques

A minimum of 75 credit points from any level 200 course
