What You're Signing Up For
This short STAR course introduces secondary students (Year 11 and above) to essential table service skills for a commercial hospitality environment. Over three days (one per week), students gain hands-on experience taking orders, serving guests, and maintaining tables across food and beverage settings. The course is a pre-entry unit standard experience designed for those considering work as food service workers. To meet assessment requirements, students must attend all dates and participate in practical learning.
