What You're Signing Up For
A must for anyone wanting to become a general manager or duty manager of a licensed premises. The LCQ covers unit standards demonstrating knowledge of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act (2012), its implications for licensed premises, and host responsibility requirements as a duty manager. Delivery is via online and in-person workshops, enabling flexibility for learners across multiple Northland campuses. This course is required for gaining a General Manager's Certificate for licensed premises in New Zealand.
Course Content
- Unit Standard 4646: Demonstrate knowledge of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and its implications for licensed premises
- Unit Standard 16705: Demonstrate knowledge of host responsibility requirements as a duty manager of licensed premises
- Legal obligations of licensed premises managers
- Host responsibility and compliance
- Duty management roles on licensed premises
What you need to know first
Be at least 16 years old at the time the programme commences
Be able to read, write, and communicate in English at a basic level
Be physically able to complete programme-specific outcomes
Applicants for whom English is not a first language must have an IELTS score of at least 5.5 with no band lower than 5, or an accepted international equivalent
