Describe the anatomy and physiology of human body systems
Students will be able to describe the key systems and associated organs of the human body, understanding their structure and function.

Understand career and study pathways in health and wellbeing
Learners will gain knowledge of career opportunities in health, and what is required to pursue further education in health-related disciplines.
What You're Signing Up For
The UCOL STAR Human Body & Health course allows secondary school students (Years 11–13) to explore if a career in the health and wellbeing industry is right for them. Delivered in Palmerston North, it covers the anatomy and physiology of body systems and organs and provides insight into pathways in health and wellbeing. Students earn 6 NZQA credits upon successful completion and can use this as a foundation for further study in nursing, exercise science, or wellness.

- Anatomy and physiology of human body systems
- Description and functions of major organs
- Introduction to the health and wellbeing industry and related study pathways
- Overview of possible career and study outcomes in health
- Basic understanding of structure and function of body organ systems
