This STAR course, available only to NZ secondary schools via application by the school's STAR/Gateway coordinator, provides students with foundational knowledge of dairy farming. The curriculum covers safe handling and health problems of dairy cattle associated with milking, understanding how cows produce milk, and the design and effluent systems of farm dairies.
