This course provides an in-depth study of livestock production science. Students will learn to determine genetic productivity in animal groups and understand key scientific principles—nutrition, reproduction, growth, health, and animal welfare—as applied to contemporary animal production systems. The course develops skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, applying scientific knowledge to real agricultural contexts, and understanding the wider social and political roles of agriculture.
