What You're Signing Up For

Landscape Ecology (LASC 312) provides students with an understanding of key landscape ecology concepts and their application in the assessment, design, and communication of sustainable landscapes. Through this course, students will learn to critically discuss core ecological principles, analyze landscape components, and apply methodologies in landscape planning and design using ecology as a framework.

What you need to know first

A minimum of 15 credit points from Introduction to Earth and Ecological Sciences (ENSC-101)

A minimum of 15 credit points from Planting Design and Management (LASC-211), Ecology II: Principles of Ecology (ECOL-201), or Biological Diversity (ECOL-202)

OR a minimum of 15 credit points from Introduction to Earth Science (PHSC-105)

AND a minimum of 15 credit points from Ecology I: New Zealand Ecology and Conservation (ECOL-103)

AND a minimum of 15 credit points from Planting Design and Management (LASC-211), Ecology II: Principles of Ecology (ECOL-201), or Biological Diversity (ECOL-202)
