What You're Signing Up For

The UCOL STAR Construction Skills course is a Level 2 programme designed for secondary school learners (Years 11-13) interested in exploring carpentry and construction. Delivered one day per week over six weeks, this course introduces students to basic skills required to construct a utility building onsite at UCOL's dedicated trades facility. It offers 8 NCEA credits and serves as a starting point for further studies and careers in construction-related fields. The course is fees-free for learners, supported by participating schools. Entry is by application through the learners' secondary schools in partnership with their parents or caregivers.
