This course explores contemporary topics in management accounting, including the tools managers use to cost products and services and to develop and manage budgets. Students will gain familiarity with decision making, budgeting processes, various costing methods and variance analysis, capital expenditure, inventory and pricing decisions, and evaluating performance measurement systems. Emphasis is placed on applying cost and management accounting concepts to practical issues faced by organizations.
